Health Care Lessons from Europe

As Congress struggles to reform U.S. health care, critics point to Canada and Britain as the poster children of what could happen here with a "government takeover" of health coverage.

But three other wealthy nations - the Netherlands, Switzerland and Germany - offer much closer parallels, as well as lessons.

Health care systems in the three nations more closely resemble the U.S. system of insurance-based coverage. Holland and Switzerland rely exclusively on private insurance, and all three rely on private doctors. The three European nations deliver universal coverage and world-class quality at a fraction of what Americans spend.

Inside Iran from the Eyes of a Travel Guide

Traditions Help Recall Memories

Over the weekend I took my oldest daughter to her first Notre Dame football game. It was my intentions for her to experience everything that Notre Dame is about, tradition and football. While I was walking with her throughtout the campus and the tailgating parties I began to recall the memories of my first Notre Dame football game. It was weird duplicating the same steps with my daughter, but with it came a neat feeling that comes family traditions that you carry out year after year. These family traditions are triggers for great memories and great memories are things you can hold on to for a long time.

This weekend I enjoyed playing a role in creating unforgettable memories.
